Discover the Queen of Hearts Raffle
The Queen of Hearts Game Board 🎯: consists of a sealed deck of 54 cards (52 standard cards + 2 jokers) placed face down and numbered on a board. Ticket chances are purchased, and with those purchases, the ticket holder selects the number on the outside of the card. The number on the selected ticket is the number of the card that will be revealed.
🎮 **Rules and How to Play**
🎟️ All raffle tickets are $2.00 per ticket. There is no limit on the number of tickets that may be purchased. Ticket sales will be held at one location: Shelbyville Country Club’s Members Lounge (connected to the Pro Shop) located at 47 Smithfield Rd., Shelbyville, KY 40065.
📝 There can only be one name per ticket. Each ticket MUST include the following:
- LEGAL FIRST AND LAST NAME (No nicknames, aliases, or abbreviations.)
- Name as it appears on your driver’s license or state-issued ID.
- Contact phone number, including area code.
- Card number choice (Window # on ticket).
- Each ticket must include the above information; otherwise, the ticket will be invalid, and another ticket will be chosen.

How to Play and Win
📅 Every other Thursday (bi-weekly), the drawing will take place at 6:30 PM at Shelbyville Country Club’s Member Lounge. (No, you do not have to be a member to participate and be present.)
- Only the one ticket pulled, the bearer of said ticket will be the only person to have the chance to reveal a card (previously selected and written on the ticket that was pulled) on the Queen of Hearts board.
- If the Queen of Hearts is revealed, that person will win 75% of the total Jackpot, and the Shelby County Community Golf Charities, INC. receives 25% of the total Jackpot. If the Queen of Hearts is revealed, no additional tickets will be drawn, and that game board is done. A new board with new chances will be started for the next biweekly drawing.
- Once a card is selected, it will be removed from play and shown face up on the board. After the drawing, all tickets from that week’s drawing will no longer be valid and will be destroyed.
- Tickets bought for that biweekly drawing period will only be valid for that week’s drawing. All tickets will be tracked and verified each week. New chances are sold for the next biweekly drawing, only after the previous week’s drawing has concluded.
🔒 The QUEEN OF HEARTS game board will always be locked at all times, except during the drawing. Chances will also be stored in a lockbox until the time of the drawing. Ticket chances will then be added to a spinning steel raffle drum, mixed up, and then drawn.
💰 **Payouts:**
- Queen of Hearts – JACKPOT
- Joker: $100
- Jacks, Queens (excluding Queen of Hearts), and Kings: $50
- Ace-10 (no matter the suit): $25
(Shelby County Community Golf Charities, Inc. reserves the right to keep payout values the same or increase values as the jackpot grows.)
🎉 Must be present to win the Jackpot. If the ticket holder is NOT PRESENT, they will only win 65% of the Jackpot, and Shelby County Community Charities, Inc. will receive 35%.
⚖️ All Participants and Winners are encouraged to play responsibly. Winners will be issued the proper IRS tax forms and are responsible for paying taxes.
📄 **Prize Payouts:**
- W-2G: Prizes over $599 are paid by check, and the recipient is issued a W-2G form for tax reporting purposes.
- Tax Withholding: For prizes over $4,999, both federal (24%) and Kentucky (5%) taxes may be withheld.
- Forfeiture: Prizes may be forfeited if winners fail to comply with eligibility rules.
- Unclaimed Prizes: Unclaimed prizes may be donated back to the charitable organization.
